Dentistry is/has been my life. I started in the field at the age of 18 when I attended dental school In Manipal, India. On completing my 1-year residency at our local hospital in India, I moved to Dubai, UAE where I worked for an esthetic practice. My experience in serving the unique needs of both underserved areas in India and affluent neighborhoods in Dubai fueled my passion for learning all that dentistry had to offer. My quest for knowledge brought me to Boston University from where I graduated with a DMD in 2003.It was in Boston that I met my now husband with whom I not only share kids and a dog but also who took my many pain points in running the business of dentistry and created this fabulous all-in-one platform called Practice By Numbers
I moved to Seattle in 2003 and worked as an associate in a large group practice for almost 7 years. in 2010 I opened my first start-up practice which was challenging to run without a business background, Practice By Numbers was formed in 2014 as a business analytics company for healthcare professionals like me to help understand, measure, and run our business more efficiently. Understanding and adopting the data provided by PbN was a game changer and brought me much success both financially and clinically. The strength provided by PbN allowed me to open my second start-up in 2016.
To meet the growing staffing and technology challenges we as dentists face, PbN pivoted in late 2019 to introduce an All in one platform which encompasses all the technology required to run a profitable practice.
As I experienced what a powerful tool PbN is, I was able to provide more insight and perspective toward the development of the software which in turn led me to become its CMO.
